Chocolate Chip Cookies

To make these cookies extra-ordinary, make sure to take them out of the oven as soon as the edges are cooked.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients, Method & Procedure.

3/4 cups butter, softened

1/2 + 1/8 cups sugar

1/2 + 1/8 cups packed brown sugar

1/2 Tbsp vanilla

1 egg

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (12 oz)

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, beat butter, sugars, vanilla and egg on medium speed or with spoon until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.

2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drop dough by tablespoons 2 inches apart and flatten slightly. Bake about 9 min. (10 min. if frozen), or until light brown around the edges but still soft in the center. Cool 1 to 2 min. then remove to rack. Makes about 3 dozen.
